Does anyone have a solution for this problem? i cannot open the driver door from the outside. it looks like the handle is loose.. Passat (b6) :: 2007 - driver side door handle not working. i have a 2007 passat. the driver's side door handle has failed. with the locks in "unlocked" when i pull the handle it comes out but with no effort and it does not trip the dork lock mechanism and the door does not open.. Volkswagen passat b5 drivers door unlocks but outside handle does not open door 99 passat 1.8t 115k miles i searched but i didnt see anything that seemed applicable to this. with either the key or the remote the drivers door unlocks but the outside handle sporadically will not open the door ..
The drivers door won't open from the outside but works fine from the inside. are the door handles all electric in the passat? anyone have this problem? if so what was the fix you/they did for it?. Try to adjust it and if it doesn't work, get a new oem door handle. i found that the driver's side had to move down, the passenger side had to move up. tighten it (it's only 5.5mm) to 3 nm (not ft lbs). door handle-how to repair sticking door handle on vw passat door sagging or alignment repair-mk3 jetta or passat.
