Fuel door won't open vw mkiv-a4 tdis (ve and pd) mine always worked fine, until i arced the wiring cnxn's in door , to the body ground while installing front door speakers, it was weird because i could hear the solenoid barely engaging for a while after, then not at all, i pulled the fuse, measured continuity across, and it was open.. 2002 tdi jetta wagon the fuse or locking / unlocking the doors didn't work but removing the passenger side inside storage compartment door gave access to the solenoid and i could reach in front of it and pull the fuel door linkage toward the back of the car and open the fuel door..
