Unfortunately yesterday the internal door handle went again. i heard a pop as i pulled the handle to open the door so the fixing for the bowden cable has obviously broken again. will have to start again and remove the driver door card and have a re think about how to fix the plastic bracket as the super glue and accelerator did not work.. 1998 vw beetle doors will not open from outside or inside - answered by a verified vw mechanic it may just be the actuator not working, but you will have to get in there and really check , by pulling each rod from the inside and from the handle vw jetta 2000 outside door handle will not work door opens from inside only. how can i take. Passat (b6) :: 2007 - driver side door handle not working. i have a 2007 passat. the driver's side door handle has failed. with the locks in "unlocked" when i pull the handle it comes out but with no effort and it does not trip the dork lock mechanism and the door does not open.. I have a vw passat 07 reg, the drivers side rear door will not open from inside or out. so the door is permently locked. the door handle on the outside has lost some tension in it and i am trying to access the lock externally to see if the wire has snapped or dislodged..
